To Believe God’s Care For His Children

7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters① all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are. / ①Greek your brothers
10 In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.
11 All power to him forever! Amen. Continue reading →

King David, Who Thanked God.
(Psalm) 118:21

I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation. (New Revised Standard Version)

Tomorrow’s sermon is about King David. After King Saul died, David became the second king of Israel. Even after David became the king of Israel, he always trusted God, and Israel became a powerful country in military and economy. Among these situations, David was never proud of himself but worshiped and praised God with a humble heart before God. He especially confessed his love toward God in songs and poems. Many of the poems in Psalms were not only the confession of David’s gratitude toward God but of his difficult circumstances. David confessed all his life before God. Through the story of King David, we pray that our children would always have and confess their gratitude to God. Even when it is hard to be thankful, we hope that our children bring their situation to God and become children of faith who seek the guidance of God.
