이번주일 아이들 설교말씀은 모세의 작별 이야기 입니다. 모세는 광야에서 40년간 이스라엘 민족을 이끌었고 다시 한 번 이스라엘은 약속의 땅 근처에 도달하였습니다. 모세는 120세가 되었고 자신이 약속의 땅으로 들어갈 수 없다는 것을 알았습니다. 모세는 사람들을 모아 하나님께서 자신에게 주신 말씀을 다시금 이스라엘에게 말하였고 기록하여 제사장들에게 언약궤와 함께 보관하라고 하였습니다. 이는 이스라엘 민족이 하나님의 말씀을 잊지 않고 기억하게 하려는 모세의 마지막 일이었습니다. 하나님께서는 모세와 여호수와를 장막으로 부르셔 여호수아를 이스라엘의 새로운 리더로 세우셨습니다. 하나님께서는 여호수아에게 용기를 주시며 약속의 땅으로 이스라엘 민족을 이끌고 갈 것을 명령하셨습니다. 모세는 약속의 땅이 보이는 언덕에서 그 생을 마감하셨고 그곳에 묻혔습니다. 모세가 죽고 이스라엘 백성은 여호수아를 새로운 이스라엘의 리더로 여기고 따랐습니다. 우리 아이들도 언제나 하나님의 말씀을 기억하고 따르는 믿음의 자녀들 되기를 기도합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday worship is about the story of Moses’ farewell. Moses led the Israelites for 40 years in the wilderness, and God’s people were once again at the edge of the promised land. He was 120 years old and knew that he would not enter the promised land. He gathered people, taught them again, and wrote down the words of God. He commanded the priests to save the paper with the ark. It was his last work to help the Israelites remember the words of God. God called Moses and Joshua, and made Joshua as the new leader of Israel. God encouraged and commanded him to lead the Israelites into the promised land. After Moses died and was buried on the hill where the promised land could be seen, the Israelites accepted Joshua as the new leader and followed him. We pray that our children become the children of faith who always remember and obey the words of God.

이번주일 아이들 설교말씀은 발람과 발락의 이야기 입니다. 이스라엘은 광야생활을 마치기 위해 약속의 땅으로 들어가기 위한 여정에 있었습니다. 그들은 요단강 동쪽 모압 땅을 통하여 약속의 땅으로 들어가려고 계획하였습니다. 이를 알게된 모압의 발락 왕은 이스라엘 민족을 두려워 하였습니다. 이는 이스라엘은 강해졌고 그 수가 수없이 많았기 때문입니다. 발락왕은 특별한 영적 힘을 가진 발람을 불러 이스라엘을 저주하고자 하였습니다. 발람이 축복을 하면 축복을 받고 발람이 저주를 하면 저주를 받았기 때문입니다. 하나님께서는 발람에게 나타나시고, 하나님께서 이스라엘 민족을 이미 축복하셨다는 사실을 발람에게 말씀하셨고, 또한 발락 왕에게 가서 자신이 한 말을 전하라고 하셨습니다. 모압으로 온 발람은 발락 왕에게 하나님이 전하신 말을 하였고 결국 발락 왕은 이스라엘을 해하지 못하였습니다. 우리 아이들도 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 늘 그 말씀을 전하는 믿음의 자녀들 되기를 기도합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday worship is about the story of Balaam and Balak. By the end of the wilderness life, Israel was heading toward the promised land. They planned to enter the promised land through the land of Moab, on the east side of the Jordan River. King Balak of Moab was afraid since Israel was strong and big. So, he called Balaam, who had special powers, to curse Israel. Whomever Balaam blessed was blessed, and whomever he cursed was cursed. On his way to Moab, God appeared to Balaam, told him that God had already blessed Israel, and commanded to convey His words to King Balak. Balaam came to Moab and spoke to King Balak about what God told him. Balak could not harm Israel anymore. We pray that our children become children of faith who listen to God’s words and spread the words to the world.

본문말씀: Numbers 21:8-9

주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. “너는 불뱀을 만들어 기둥 위에 달아 놓아라. 물린 사람은 누구든지 그것을 보면 살 것이다.” 그리하여 모세는 구리로 뱀을 만들어서 그것을 기둥 위에 달아 놓았다. 뱀이 사람을 물었을 때에, 물린 사람은 구리로 만든 그 뱀을 쳐다보면 살아났다. (새번역)

And the Lord said to Moses, “Make a poisonous serpent, and set it on a pole; and everyone who is bitten shall look at it and live.” So Moses made a serpent of bronze, and put it upon a pole; and whenever a serpent bit someone, that person would look at the serpent of bronze and live. 이번주일 아이들 설교말씀은 모세의 놋뱀 이야기 입니다. 하나님께서는 이스라엘 민족을 이집트로부터 이끄시고 약속의 땅으로 인도하셨습니다. 그들이 가나안 땅에 다다랐을 때에 모세와 아론은 열두명의 정탐꾼을 약속의 땅으로 보냈습니다. 하지만 그중 열명의 정탐꾼은 약속의 땅으로 들어가는 것을 반대했습니다. 왜냐하면 그곳에 살고있던 사람들이 이스라에의 사람들보다 키가 크고 강했기 때문입니다. 하나님께서는 이스라엘 민족에게 화가 나셨고 그들을 다시 광야로 인도하셨습니다. 그리고 수많은 뱀을 보내셔 이스라엘을 벌하셨습니다. 이에 사람들은 자신들이 벌받는 이유를 자신들의 불순종 때문이라고 생각하여 모세에게 뱀의 벌을 멈춰달라고 말하였습니다. 모세는 하나님께 기도를 드렸고 하나님께서는 뱀 모양의 형상을 만들어 막대기에 걸어놓으라고 하셨습니다. 이후에 사람들은 뱀에 물렸을 때에 놋뱀을 보았고 다시 회복되었습니다. 하나님께서는 이스라엘의 불순종을 벌하시기도 하셨지만 언제나 그들을 다시금 용서해주셨습니다. 우리 아이들 또한 늘 하나님 앞에 자신의 잘못을 고백하는 믿음의 어린이가 되기를 기도합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday worship is about the story of Moses making the bronze snake. God led the Israelites from Egypt to the promised land. When they were near the promised land, Moses and Aaron sent twelve spies to the land. However, ten of them refused to go, since people living in the land were taller and stronger than the Israelites. God was angry at their lack of belief and sent them back into the wilderness. When they complained about their lives in the wilderness, God punished them through snakes. Some of the Israelites realized that their complaints were the reason and asked Moses to stop the punishment. Moses prayed to God, and God commanded him to make an image of a snake to hang on a pole. Anyone bitten by the snake was recovered by looking at the bronze snake. God punished the Israelites, but He always forgave their sins as well. We pray that out children become the children who confess their sins before God.

이번주일 아이들 말씀은 예수님이 십자가 지심과 부활 이야기 입니다. 예수님께서 잡히시던 밤 겟세마네 동산에서 제자들과 함께 기도를 하셨습니다. 그리고 유다의 배신으로 예수님은 대제사장과 장로들의 무리에게 잡히셨습니다. 대제사장이 예수께 당신이 하나님의 아들인지 물었고 예수님께서는 그렇다고 하셨습니다. 이에 대제사장은 예수님께 신성 모독을 하였고 예수님을 사형에 처하였습니다. 이들은 예수님을 총독 빌라도에게 넘겼고, 빌라도는 예수님을 심문하였지만 아무 잘못도 찾지 못하였습니다. 하지만 빌라도는 군중들의 요구대로 예수님께 십자가 처형을내렸습니다. 빌라도의 군인들은 예수님을 조롱하였고, 십자가에 달리신 예수님은 숨을 거두셨습니다. 예수님은 바위 동굴 무덤에 묻히셨고 큰 돌로 그 문을 막았습니다. 사흘 후 새벽 막달라 마리아와 다른 마리아가 무덤을 보려고 갔는데 큰 지진이 나고 하늘에서 천사가 내려와 돌문을 열었습니다. 천사는 그들에게 두려워 말라고 말하고 예수님께서 살아나셨다고 말하였습니다. 여자들이 무덤을 떠날 때에 예수님께서는 여자들에게 나타나셨습니다 그리고 그가 살아나신 것을 증명하셨습니다. 우리 아이들도 날마다 부활의 주님을 찾는 믿음의 자녀들 되기를 기도합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday worship is about Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. The night Jesus was caught, Jesus and his disciples went to a garden called Gethsemane to pray. Judas betrayed Jesus and arrested Him. The religious leaders asked whether Jesus was the Messiah, the Son of God, to find a reason to kill. When Jesus said yes, the high priest thought Jesus deserved to die and led Him to Pilate. Pilate did not think Jesus had done anything wrong but accepted the demands of the crowd to crucify Him on the cross. After the soldiers of Pilate mocked and beat Jesus, He was crucified and died on the cross. Jesus was buried in a rock cave tomb, closed with a stone. On the third day, when Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to the tomb, there was an earthquake and an angel opened the tomb. The angel spoke to the women, “Don’t be afraid! Jesus has risen.” Jesus appeared to the women and the disciples and proved that He has risen. We pray that our children become a children of faith who find Jesus every day.

본문말씀: 마태복음 Matthew 21:6-11

제자들이 가서, 예수께서 지시하신 대로, 어미 나귀와 새끼 나귀를 끌어다가, 그 위에 겉옷을 얹으니, 예수께서 올라타셨다. 큰 무리가 자기들의 겉옷을 길에다가 폈으며, 다른 사람들은 나뭇가지를 꺾어다가 길에 깔았다. 그리고 앞에 서서 가는 무리와 뒤따라오는 무리가 외쳤다. “호산나, 다윗의 자손께! 복되시다, 주님의 이름으로 오시는 분! 더없이 높은 곳에서 호산나!” 예수께서 예루살렘에 들어가셨을 때에, 온 도시가 들떠서 물었다. “이 사람이 누구냐?” 사람들은 그가 갈릴리 나사렛에서나신 예언자 예수라고 말하였다. (새번역)

The disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them; they brought the donkey and the colt, and put their cloaks on them, and he sat on them. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and that followed were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! 이번주일 말씀은 예루살렘으로 들어오신 예수님의 이야기 입니다. 하나님께서는 세상을 창조하시고 첫 사람인 아담과 하와를 만드셨습니다. 하나님께서는 아담과 하와와 함께 하시는 것을 기뻐 하셨고 아담과 하와 또한 하나님과 함께하는 것을 좋아하였습니다. 하지만 어느날 뱀이 하와와 아담을 유혹하였고 그들은 선악과를 먹음으로써 하나님과의 관계에서 멀어졌습니다. 그의 후손들 끊임없이 하나님 앞에 죄를 지었고 하나님은 인간을 포기하지 않으시고 용서를 베푸셨습니다. 마침내 모든 사람들의 구원을 위해 하나님은 그의 아들을 이 땅에 보내시고 예수님께서는 하나님의 말씀을 전하셨습니다. 유월절을 기념하여 예수님께서는 나귀를 타고 제자들과 함께 예루살렘으로 들어오셨습니다. 이는 성경에 나와있는 말씀을 이루려고 하신 예수님의 계획이었습니다. 예수님의 능력을 경험하고 들은 사람들은 예수님의 예루살렘 입성을 축하하며 그 길에 종려나무 가지와 옷들을 깔고 호산나! 호산나! 외치며 예수님을 반겼습니다. 예수님은 십자가의 계획을 알고 있으셨지만 사람들은 그것을 모르고 예수님 왕이 되어 그들을 로마의 통치로 부터 해방시켜주길 원하였습니다.

Today’s story is about Jesus entering Jerusalem. God created the world, the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve, and enjoyed to be with them. Even though Adam and Eve loved God and followed God’s law, they were tempted by a snake to eat the fruit of knowledge and evil. Their descendants constantly sinned before God, and God ceaselessly forgave and punished their sins. To solve this problem, God finally sent His only son Jesus to the world to forgive all people’s sins. To commemorate the Passover, Jesus and his disciples went to Jerusalem. Jesus entered Jerusalem by riding on a donkey, since it was from the word of God through a prophet before Jesus was born. People who saw and heard about the miracles welcomed Jesus. They cut palm branches and gathered where Jesus was coming. They shook palm branches and shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Hosanna to the Lord Jesus! Hosanna in the highest heaven!” Jesus knew God’s plan that Jesus would be crucified on the cross, but people wanted Jesus to be a king who would liberate them from the Roman Empire.
