14 게으른 자들을 훈계하고, 마음이 약한 자들을 격려해 주십시오. 힘이 없는 자들을 도우며, 모든 사람을 인내로 대하십시오.
15 악으로 악을 갚지 말고, 서로 모든 사람에게 선을 베풀도록 힘쓰십시오.
16 항상 즐거워하십시오.
17 쉬지 말고 기도하십시오.
18 모든 일에 감사하십시오. 이것이 그리스도 예수 안에서 여러분을 향한 하나님의 뜻입니다.
19 성령께서 일하시는 것을 막지 말고,
20 예언의 말씀을 하찮게 생각하지 마십시오.
21 모든 일을 잘 살펴서 선한 것을 붙잡고,
22 악한 것을 멀리하기 바랍니다.
23 평안의 하나님께서 여러분을 깨끗하게 하셔서 하나님께 속한 자로 지켜 주시며, 여러분의 온몸, 즉 영과 혼과 육신 모두를 우리 주 예수 그리스도께서 오실 그 날까지 아무 흠 없이 지켜 주시기를 기도합니다.
24 여러분을 부르신 그분은 신실하시기 때문에 이 일을 반드시 이루실 것입니다. (쉬운성경)

14 Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.
15 See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.
16 Always be joyful.
17 Never stop praying.
18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
19 Do not stifle the Holy Spirit.
20 Do not scoff at prophecies,
21 but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.
22 Stay away from every kind of evil.
23 Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.

1 여호와를 공경하고 두려워하는 자는 복 있는 사람입니다. 그분의 말씀대로 사는 자는 복 있는 사람입니다.
2 그는 수고의 열매를 먹게 될 것입니다. 복과 번영이 그의 것이 될 것입니다.
3 그의 아내는 열매 맺는 포도나무와 같을 것입니다. 그의 식탁에 둘러앉은 그의 아들들은 올리브 나무의 새싹들과 같을 것입니다.
4 여호와를 공경하고 두려워하는 자들은 이처럼 복 있는 사람입니다.

1 [A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem.] How joyful are those who fear the Lord – all who follow his ways!
2 You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How joyful and prosperous you will be!
3 Your wife will be like a fruitful grapevine, flourishing within your home. Your children will be like vigorous young olive trees as they sit around your table.

1 행복한 사람은 나쁜 사람들의 꼬임에 따라가지 않는 사람입니다. 행복한 사람은 죄인들이 가는 길에 함께 서지 않으며, 빈정대는 사람들과 함께 자리에 앉지 않는 사람입니다.
2 그들은 여호와의 가르침을 즐거워하고, 밤낮으로 그 가르침을 깊이 생각합니다.
3 그들은 마치 시냇가에 옮겨 심은 나무와 같습니다. 계절을 따라 열매를 맺고 그 잎새가 시들지 않는 나무와 같습니다. 그러므로 그가 하는 일마다 다 잘 될 것입니다.
4 나쁜 사람들은 그렇지가 않습니다. 그들은 마치 바람에 쉽게 날아가는 겨와 같습니다.
5 그러므로 나쁜 사람들은 하나님께서 내리시는 벌을 견뎌 낼 수가 없을 것입니다. 죄인들은 착한 사람들과 함께 있을 수 없습니다.
6 착한 사람들이 가는 길은 여호와께서 보살펴 주시지만, 악한 사람들이 가는 길은 결국 망할 것입니다.

1 Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.
2 But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night.
3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
4 But not the wicked! They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.
5 They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly.
6 For the LORD watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.
