Live Our Lives In Favor With God

로마서 12:1-2

1 그러므로 성도 여러분, 나는 하나님의 자비로써 여러분에게 권합니다. 여러분의 몸을 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 거룩한 살아 있는 제물로 드리십시오. 이것이야말로 여러분이 마땅히 드려야 할 영적인 예배입니다.
2 여러분은 이 세상을 본받지 말고, 마음을 새롭게 하여 변화를 받으십시오. 그러면 여러분은 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지를 분별할 수 있게 될 것입니다.

1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice – the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.① / ①Or This is your spiritual worship; or This is your reasonable service
2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

마가복음 7:31-37

31 다시 예수님께서는 두로 지방을 떠나, 시돈을 거쳐, 데가볼리 지방에 있는 갈릴리 호수로 가셨습니다.
32 사람들이 예수님께, 듣지 못하고, 말도 못하는 사람을 데리고 와서는 그에게 손을 얹어 달라고 간청하였습니다.
33 예수님께서 그 사람을 데리고, 사람들로부터 떨어진 곳으로 데리고 가셨습니다. 그리고 손가락을 그 사람의 귀에 넣으신 뒤에, 손에 침을 뱉어 그의 혀를 만지셨습니다.
34 그리고 하늘을 우러러보시며 깊은 숨을 쉬셨습니다. 그런 다음 그 사람에게 “에바다!”라고 말씀하셨는데, 이는 “열려라”라는 뜻입니다.
35 그러자 그의 귀가 열리고, 혀가 풀려 말을 분명하게 하게 되었습니다.
36 예수님께서 사람들에게 아무에게도 이 일을 말하지 말라고 명령하셨습니다. 그러나 예수님께서 하지 말라고 하시면 할수록, 사람들은 더욱 널리 소문을 퍼뜨렸습니다.
37 그들은 정말로 놀라워하며 “예수님께서 하시는 것은 모두 훌륭하다. 듣지 못하는 사람을 듣게 하고, 말 못 하는 사람도 말을 하게 해 주신다”라고 말했습니다.

31 Jesus left Tyre and went up to Sidon before going back to the Sea of Galilee and the region of the Ten Towns①. / ①Greek Decapolis
32 A deaf man with a speech impediment was brought to him, and the people begged Jesus to lay his hands on the man to heal him.
33 Jesus led him away from the crowd so they could be alone. He put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then, spitting on his own fingers, he touched the man’s tongue.
34 Looking up to heaven, he sighed and said, “Ephphatha,” which means, “Be opened!”
35 Instantly the man could hear perfectly, and his tongue was freed so he could speak plainly!
36 Jesus told the crowd not to tell anyone, but the more he told them not to, the more they spread the news.
37 They were completely amazed and said again and again, “Everything he does is wonderful. He even makes the deaf to hear and gives speech to those who cannot speak.” Continue reading →

31 예수님께서, 인자가 많은 고통을 받고, 장로들과 대제사장과 율법학자들에게 배척을 당하며, 죽임을 당하고, 삼 일 뒤에 다시 살아날 것을 제자들에게 가르치셨습니다.
32 예수님께서 드러내 놓고 말씀을 하시니, 베드로가 예수님을 붙들고 말렸습니다.
33 예수님께서 돌아서서 제자들을 보시고, 베드로를 꾸짖으셨습니다. “사탄아 내 뒤로 썩 물러나라! 너는 하나님의 일은 생각치 않고, 사람들의 일을 생각하는구나.”

31 Then Jesus began to tell them that the Son of Man① must suffer many terrible things and be rejected by the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but three days later he would rise from the dead. / ①”Son of Man” is a title Jesus used for himself
32 As he talked about this openly with his disciples, Peter took him aside and began to reprimand him for saying such things①. / ①Or began to correct him
33 Jesus turned around and looked at his disciples, then reprimanded Peter. “Get away from me, Satan!” he said. “You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”

에베소서 4:20-24

20 그러나 여러분은 그리스도에 관해 그렇게 배우지 않았습니다.
21 나는 여러분이 진정 그분의 말씀을 들었고, 또 진리 되신 그분 안에 살고 있다고 확신합니다.
22 옛 모습을 벗어 버리십시오. 옛 사람은 한없는 욕망으로 점점 더 눈이 어두워져 더 악하고 더러운 모습이 될 뿐입니다.
23 여러분은 마음을 새롭게 하라는 가르침을 들었습니다.
24 이제는 새 사람이 되어 하나님의 모습처럼 선하고 거룩하게 살아가십시오.
20 But that isn’t what you learned about Christ.
21 Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him,
22 throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception.
23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.

로마서 8:28-37

28 우리는 하나님께서 모든 일을 하나님을 사랑하는 사람, 즉 하나님의 목적을 위해 부름을 입은 사람들의 선을 위하여 하신다는 것을 알고 있습니다.
29 하나님께서는 전부터 아셨던 사람들을 그분의 아들과 동일한 형상을 갖도록 미리 정하시고, 하나님의 아들을 많은 형제들 중에서 맏아들이 되게 하셨습니다.
30 하나님께서는 미리 정하신 사람들을 부르셨고, 부르신 사람들을 의롭다고 하셨고, 의롭다고 하신 사람들을 영화롭게 하셨습니다.
31 이 점에 대해 우리가 무엇이라고 말할 수 있겠습니까? 하나님께서 우리 편이시라면 누가 우리를 대적하겠습니까?
32 자기 아들까지도 아끼지 않고 우리 모두를 위해 내어 주신 분께서 그 아들과 함께 우리에게 모든 것을 은혜로 주지 않으시겠습니까?
33 하나님께서 택하신 사람들을 누가 고소할 수 있겠습니까? 의롭게 하시는 분은 하나님이신데,
34 누가 감히 죄가 있다고 판단하겠습니까? 죽으신 분은 그리스도 예수이십니다. 그분은 죽으셨을 뿐만 아니라, 다시 살아나 하나님의 오른편에 앉아 계시면서 우리를 위해 중보 기도를 하고 계십니다.
35 누가 우리를 그리스도의 사랑에서 끊을 수 있겠습니까? 환난입니까? 아니면 어려움입니까? 핍박입니까? 그렇지 않으면 굶주림입니까? 헐벗음입니까? 위험입니까? 아니면 칼입니까?
36 성경에 기록된 것처럼, “우리는 하루 종일 주님을 위해 죽음에 직면하고 있습니다. 우리는 도살당할 양과 같은 대접을 받았습니다.”
37 그러나 우리는 우리를 사랑하신 하나님을 힘입어 이 모든 것을 이기고도 남습니다.

28 And we know that God causes everything to work together① for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. / ①Some manuscripts read And we know that everything works together
29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters①. / ①Greek brothers
30 And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.
31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one?for God himself has given us right standing with himself.
34 Who then will condemn us? No one?for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?
36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”①) / ①Ps 44.22
37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. Continue reading →
