경건생활에 힘쓰자 2

디모데전서 4:9-16

9 지금 내가 하는 말을 잘 듣고 믿음을 가지고 받아들이십시오.
10 우리는 이것을 위해 지금까지 열심히 일해 왔습니다. 우리의 소망은 살아 계신 하나님께 있습니다. 그분은 우리 모두를 구원하실 분이며, 특별히 믿는 자들에게 구원자가 되십니다.
11 그대는 이러한 사실들을 가르치고 명령하십시오.
12 그대가 젊다는 이유로 사람들이 그대를 업신여기지 않게 하고, 믿는 사람으로서 어떻게 살아가야 하는지 모범을 보이십시오. 말과 행동, 사랑과 믿음, 그리고 순결하고 깨끗한 삶을 통해 사람들에게 본을 보여주기 바랍니다.
13 내가 갈 때까지 열심히 성경을 읽고 사람들을 권면하며 잘 가르치십시오.
14 그대가 받은 은사를 잊지 말고 잘 사용하십시오. 그것은 교회의 장로들이 그대의 머리에 손을 얹고 기도할 때, 예언을 통해 그대에게 주어진 것입니다.
15 온 맘을 다해 충성하여, 그대가 발전하는 모습을 사람들에게 보여주십시오.
16 그대는 그대의 삶과 가르침에 주의해서, 늘 올바르게 살고 가르치기에 힘쓰십시오. 그러면 그대 자신뿐 아니라 그대의 말에 귀기울이는 모든 사람이 구원을 받을 것입니다.

9 This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it.
10 This is why we work hard and continue to struggle①, for our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers. / ①Some manuscripts read continue to suffer
11 Teach these things and insist that everyone learn them.
12 Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
13 Until I get there, focus on reading the Scriptures to the church, encouraging the believers, and teaching them.
14 Do not neglect the spiritual gift you received through the prophecy spoken over you when the elders of the church laid their hands on you.
15 Give your complete attention to these matters. Throw yourself into your tasks so that everyone will see your progress.
16 Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you.

경건생활에 힘쓰자

디모데전서 4:4-8

4 하나님께서 만드신 것은 모두 좋은 것입니다. 감사하는 마음으로 받으면, 버릴 것이 하나도 없습니다.
5 왜냐하면 하나님의 말씀과 기도로 이 모든 것이 다 거룩해지기 때문입니다.
6 이 모든 것을 형제들에게 잘 말하십시오. 그러면 그대가 예수 그리스도의 선한 일꾼임을 모두가 알게 될 것입니다. 그대가 따르는 믿음의 말씀과 선한 가르침을 통해 자신이 잘 양육되었음을 사람들에게 나타낼 수 있습니다.
7 하나님의 진리와는 다른 어리석은 이야기를 하는 사람들도 있을 것입니다. 그러한 가르침에 솔깃하지 말고, 오직 하나님을 섬기는 일에 스스로를 훈련시키십시오.
8 육체의 훈련은 약간의 도움을 주지만 하나님을 섬기는 경건의 훈련은 모든 일에 유익합니다. 경건은 이 세상에서의 복뿐 아니라, 앞으로 올 세상에서의 복도 약속해 줍니다.

4 Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks.
5 For we know it is made acceptable① by the word of God and prayer. / ①Or made holy
6 If you explain these things to the brothers and sisters①, Timothy, you will be a worthy servant of Christ Jesus, one who is nourished by the message of faith and the good teaching you have followed. / ①Greek brothers
7 Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives’ tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly.

모든 일에 하나님을 인정하는 삶을 살자

시편 118:5-16

5 “내가 고통 가운데 있을 때, 여호와께 울부짖었습니다. 그러자 여호와께서 대답하시고 나를 풀어 주셨습니다.
6 여호와께서 나와 함께 계시니 내가 무서워하지 않습니다. 사람들이 내게 무슨 일을 할 수 있겠습니까?
7 여호와가 나와 함께 계십니다. 그분은 나를 돕는 분이십니다. 나는 승리 가운데서 나의 적들을 바라볼 것입니다.
8 사람을 의지하는 것보다 여호와께 피하는 것이 더 좋습니다.
9 왕자들을 의지하는 것보다 여호와께 피하는 것이 더 좋습니다.
10 모든 나라들이 나를 둘러쌌습니다. 그러나 여호와의 이름으로 내가 그들을 물리쳤습니다.
11 그들이 사방에서 나를 둘러쌌습니다. 그러나 여호와의 이름으로 내가 그들을 물리쳤습니다.
12 그들은 벌 떼처럼 내 주위에 몰려들었습니다. 그러나 불타는 가시덤불처럼 빠르게 죽어갔습니다. 여호와의 이름으로 내가 그들을 물리쳤습니다.
13 나는 뒤로 밀려나 넘어질 뻔했습니다 그러나 여호와께서 나를 도우셨습니다.
14 여호와는 나의 힘이요, 나의 노래이십니다. 그분은 나의 구원이 되셨습니다.
15 기쁨과 승리의 외침들이 의로운 자들의 동네에 울려 퍼집니다. “여호와의 오른손이 위대한 일들을 행하셨습니다
16 여호와께서 오른손을 높이 드셨습니다. 여호와의 오른손이 위대한 일들을 행하셨습니다!”

5 In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and set me free.
6 The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?
7 Yes, the Lord is for me; he will help me. I will look in triumph at those who hate me.
8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people.
9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.
10 Though hostile nations surrounded me, I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.
11 Yes, they surrounded and attacked me, but I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.
12 They swarmed around me like bees; they blazed against me like a crackling fire. But I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.
13 My enemies did their best to kill me, but the Lord rescued me.
14 The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.
15 Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly. The strong right arm of the Lord has done glorious things!

24 “내 말을 듣고, 그대로 행하는 사람은 바위 위에 집을 지은 지혜로운 사람과 같다.
25 비가 내리고, 홍수가 나고, 바람이 불어 그 집에 몰아쳐도 그 집은 무너지지 않았다. 왜냐하면 그 집은 바위 위에 지어졌기 때문이다.
26 내 말을 듣고도 행하지 않는 사람은 모래 위에 집을 세운 어리석은 사람과 같다.
27 비가 내리고, 홍수가 나고, 바람이 불어 그 집에 몰아쳤을 때, 그 집은 쉽게 무너졌는데, 그 무너진 정도가 심하였다.”
24 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.
25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.
26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand.

1 모세는 여호와의 종이었습니다. 눈의 아들 여호수아는 모세의 보좌관이었는데, 모세가 죽은 후, 여호와께서 여호수아에게 말씀하셨습니다.
2 “내 종 모세는 죽었다. 이제 너는 모든 백성을 이끌고 요단 강을 건너가 내가 너희 이스라엘 자손에게 주는 땅으로 가거라.
3 나는 이 땅을 너희에게 주기로 모세와 약속하였다. 나는 너희 발바닥이 닿는 곳마다 그 곳을 너희에게 줄 것이다.
4 남쪽의 광야에서부터 북쪽의 레바논에 이르기까지 모든 땅을 너희가 가지게 될 것이다. 저 동쪽의 큰 강 유프라테스에서부터 서쪽의 지중해에 이르는 모든 땅을 너희가 차지하게 될 것이다. 헷 사람들의 땅도 너희의 것이 될 것이다.
5 내가 모세와 함께했던 것처럼 너와도 함께할 것이며, 네가 살아 있는 동안에는 너를 막을 사람이 아무도 없을 것이다. 나는 너를 떠나지 않을 것이며 결코 너를 홀로 내버려 두지 않을 것이다.
6 너는 힘을 내고 용기를 가져라. 장차 너는 백성을 이끌고 그 땅을 차지하게 될 것이다. 그 땅은 내가 이 백성의 조상에게 주기로 약속했던 땅이다.
7 힘을 내고 용기를 가져서 내 종 모세가 너에게 준 모든 가르침을 빠짐없이 지키도록 하여라. 네가 그 가르침대로 행하며 왼쪽으로나 오른쪽으로 치우치지 않고 그대로 지키면 하는 일마다 다 잘 될 것이다.
8 언제나 율법책에 씌어 있는 것을 입에서 떠나지 않게 밤낮으로 소리 내어 읽어라. 그리하여 거기에 씌어 있는 모든 것을 잘 지킬 수 있도록 하여라. 그러면 네가 하는 일이 다 잘 되고 또 성공할 것이다.
9 힘을 내고 용기를 가져라. 내가 명령한 것을 기억하여라. 두려워하지 마라. 네가 가는 곳마다 네 하나님 여호와가 너와 함께할 것이다.”

1 After the death of Moses the LORD’s servant, the LORD spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ assistant. He said,
2 “Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them.
3 I promise you what I promised Moses： ‘Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you –
4 from the Negev wilderness in the south to the Lebanon mountains in the north, from the Euphrates River in the east to the Mediterranean Sea① in the west, including all the land of the Hittites.’ / ①{Hebrew the Great Sea}
5 No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.
6 “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them.
7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.
8 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.
9 This is my command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
