시선을 예수님께 두자

히브리서 12:1-3

1 우리에게는 이렇게 많은 믿음의 증인들이 있습니다. 그들의 삶은 우리에게 믿음이 무엇인지 말해 주고 있습니다. 그러므로 포기하지 말고 우리 앞에 있는 경주를 열심히 합시다. 우리의 삶 속에서 방해가 되는 것들은 다 없애 버리고, 우리를 쉽게 옭아매는 죄를 벗어 버립시다.
2 우리 믿음의 시작이며, 또 믿음을 완전하게 하시는 주님만을 바라봅시다. 예수님께서는 십자가에서 돌아가실 때, 아무것도 아닌 것처럼 모든 부끄러움을 참아 내셨습니다. 예수님께서는 하나님께서 예비해 두신 기쁨을 기대하셨기 때문에 그렇게 하실 수 있었던 것입니다. 이제 그분은 하나님 보좌의 오른편에 앉아 계십니다.
3 예수님을 생각하십시오. 예수님께서는 죄인들이 그를 미워해서 악한 일을 할 때에도 묵묵히 참으셨습니다. 지칠 때라도 낙심하지 말고 예수님의 본을 따르기 바랍니다.

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And tllet us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith①. Because of the joy② awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. 하나님의 훈련을 받자

Accept God’s Gracious Discipline

히브리서 12:5-11

5 여러분은 하나님께서 그의 아들을 격려하듯이 말씀해 주신 것을 잊었습니까? “내 아들아, 주의 훈계를 가볍게 여기지 말고, 주님께서 너를 꾸짖으실 때, 낙심하지 마라.
6 주님께서는 사랑하는 자에게 벌을 주시고, 그의 아들로 받아들인 자들을 채찍질하신다.”
7 따라서 여러분이 받는 고난을 아버지의 훈계로 알고 견디십시오. 하나님께서는 아버지가 자기 아들에게 벌 주듯이 여러분을 대하시는 것입니다. 아들을 훈계하지 않는 아버지는 어디에도 없습니다.
8 아들이면 훈계를 받게 마련입니다. 만일 여러분에게 아무 훈계가 없다면, 여러분은 사생아이며 참아들이 아닙니다.
9 우리는 이 땅에서 모두 육체의 아버지가 있습니다. 그 아버지가 우리를 훈계한다 해도 공경하는데, 하물며 영의 아버지의 훈계를 받아들여야 하는 것은 말할 필요도 없지 않습니까? 그렇게 할 때, 우리는 생명을 받게 되는 것입니다.
10 이 땅에서의 아버지는 그들이 가장 좋다고 생각하는 대로 우리를 벌합니다. 그러나 하나님께서는 우리가 그분의 거룩하심을 닮게 하기 위해 벌하십니다.
11 훈계를 받는 바로 그 때에는 즐거움이 없고 고통스럽습니다. 그러나 후에 그 훈계 때문에 더 나은 사람이 된다면, 우리에게 평안이 있을 것입니다. 왜냐하면 우리가 올바른 길 안에서 살아가게 되었기 때문입니다.

5 And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children①? He said, “My child, don’t make light of the LORD’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you. / ①Greek sons
6 For the LORD disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.”① / ①Prov 3.11-12 (Greek version)
7 As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father?
18 If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all.
9 Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever?
10 For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness.
11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening – it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. Continue reading →

로마서 11:13-18

13 이제 이방인 여러분들에게 말하겠습니다. 나는 이방인의 사도로서 내가 맡은 직분에 대해 영광스럽게 생각하고 있습니다.
14 다만 바라는 것은, 내 동족에게 시기심을 일으켜, 그들 중에 몇 명만이라도 더 구원하고 싶은 것입니다.
15 내 동족 이스라엘이 하나님께 버림을 받게 되어 세상이 하나님과 화목하게 되었다면, 이스라엘이 하나님께 받아들여지는 것은 죽은 자들 가운데서 다시 살아나는 것이 아니면 무엇이겠습니까?
16 처음 떼내어 드린 반죽의 일부분이 거룩하면 반죽 전체가 거룩하고, 나무 뿌리가 거룩하면 가지도 거룩한 법입니다.
17 참올리브 나무의 가지 중에서 얼마를 잘라 낸 뒤, 야생 올리브 나뭇가지인 여러분을 원가지에 접붙이면, 접붙여진 가지는 참올리브 나무로부터 올라오는 양분을 받게 됩니다.
18 그러니 여러분은 잘려 나간 가지를 향해 자랑하지 마십시오. 자랑하더라도 명심할 것이 있습니다. 여러분이 뿌리를 지탱하는 것이 아니라, 뿌리가 여러분을 지탱한다는 사실입니다.

13 I am saying all this especially for you Gentiles. God has appointed me as the apostle to the Gentiles. I stress this,
14 for I want somehow to make the people of Israel jealous of what you Gentiles have, so I might save some of them.
15 For since their rejection meant that God offered salvation to the rest of the world, their acceptance will be even more wonderful. It will be life for those who were dead!
16 And since Abraham and the other patriarchs were holy, their descendants will also be holy-just as the entire batch of dough is holy because the portion given as an offering is holy. For if the roots of the tree are holy, the branches will be, too.
17 But some of these branches from Abraham’s tree-some of the people of Israel-have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree.
18 But you must not brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. You are just a branch, not the root. Continue reading →

시편 30:4-12

4 주님께 속한 모든 성도들이여, 여호와를 찬양하며, 그의 거룩하신 이름을 찬양하십시오.
5 그분의 분노는 잠깐이지만 그분의 사랑은 영원합니다. 긴 밤을 울면서 보내야 하지만 아침에는 반드시 기쁨이 찾아옵니다.
6 안전하다는 생각이 들 때, 나는 “난 결코 흔들리지 않을 거야”라고 말했습니다.
7 여호와께서 나에게 은혜를 베푸셨을 때, 주는 산처럼 굳게 세우시고 나를 흔들리지 않게 지키셨습니다. 그러나 주님께서 나를 돌아보지 않으셨을 때, 나는 무서워 어쩔 줄 몰랐습니다.
8 여호와여, 내가 주님께 부르짖었습니다. 나를 불쌍히 여겨 달라고 간절히 구하였습니다.
9 “죽는다면 나는 끝장입니다. 무덤에 들어간다면 주님께 무슨 소용이 있겠습니까? 흙먼지가 주님을 찬양할 수 있겠습니까? 시체가 주님의 성실하심을 널리 외칠 수 있겠습니까?
10 여호와여, 나의 간절한 소원을 들으시고, 나를 불쌍히 여겨 주소서. 여호와여, 나를 도와 주소서.”
11 주님께서 내 슬픔을 바꾸시어 춤이 되게 하셨습니다. 주님께서 내 슬픔의 옷을 벗기시고, 기쁨의 옷을 입혀 주셨습니다.
12 이제 내가 가만히 있지 않고, 주님을 노래하겠습니다. 여호와 나의 하나님이여, 내가 주님을 언제까지나 찬양하겠습니다.

4 Sing to the LORD, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name.
5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.
6 When I was prosperous, I said, “Nothing can stop me now!”
7 Your favor, O LORD, made me as secure as a mountain. Then you turned away from me, and I was shattered.
8 I cried out to you, O LORD. I begged the Lord for mercy, saying,
9 “What will you gain if I die, if I sink into the grave? Can my dust praise you? Can it tell of your faithfulness?
10 Hear me, LORD, and have mercy on me. Help me, O LORD.”
11 You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,

디모데후서 2:14-22

14 그대는 성도들을 가르칠 때에 하나님 앞에서 말다툼을 하지 않도록 주의를 주십시오. 말로 하는 논쟁은 아무에게도 도움이 안 될 뿐더러, 그것을 듣는 사람들도 망하게 합니다.
15 그대 스스로 하나님께 인정받는 선한 사람이 되도록 힘쓰고, 하나님을 열심히 섬기십시오. 진리의 말씀을 올바르게 가르쳐서 부끄러움이 없는 일꾼이 되도록 노력하십시오.
16 쓸모없는 세상적인 것들을 이야기하는 사람들을 피하십시오. 그런 이야기들은 하나님으로부터 점점 더 멀어지게 할 뿐입니다.
17 그들의 거짓된 가르침은 암처럼 퍼지게 되는데, 후메내오와 빌레도가 그런 가르침을 전한 사람입니다.
18 그들은 진리의 말씀을 떠났습니다. 부활은 이미 옛날에 일어났다고 말하며 믿음이 약한 자들을 넘어뜨리고 있습니다.
19 그러나 하나님의 든든한 터는 결코 무너지지 않습니다. 그 터 위에 “주님은 주님께 속한 자를 다 알고 계신다” 라는 말씀과 “주님을 믿는다고 말하는 자는 악을 행해서는 안 된다” 라는 말씀이 기록되어 있습니다.
20 큰 집에는 금그릇과 은그릇이 있습니다. 그러나 나무그릇과 흙으로 빚은 그릇 또한 있습니다. 그 그릇 가운데 특별히 귀하게 쓰이는 그릇도 있지만 평범하게 쓰이는 그릇도 있을 것입니다.
21 만약 누구든지 악을 멀리하고 자신을 깨끗하게 하면, 주인이신 주님이 쓰기에 귀하고 거룩한 그릇이 될 것입니다. 그런 사람은 언제나 좋은 일에 쓰일 수 있는 준비된 사람입니다.
22 젊은 사람들이 빠지기 쉬운 죄들을 멀리하십시오. 깨끗한 마음을 가지고 주님을 신뢰하는 사람들과 함께 바르게 살려고 노력하며, 믿음과 사랑과 평안을 추구하기 바랍니다.

14 Remind everyone about these things, and command them in God’s presence to stop fighting over words. Such arguments are useless, and they can ruin those who hear them.
15 Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.
16 Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior.
17 This kind of talk spreads like cancer①, as in the case of Hymenaeus and Philetus. / ①Greek gangrene
18 They have left the path of truth, claiming that the resurrection of the dead has already occurred; in this way, they have turned some people away from the faith.
19 But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription： “The LORD knows those who are his,”① and “All who belong to the LORD must turn away from evil.”② / ①Num 16.5 ②See Isa 52.11
20 In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use.
21 If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.
22 Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. Continue reading →
