엠마오로 가는 두 제자

The Two Disciples On The Road To Emmaus

누가복음 24:13-27

13 그런데 그 날 제자들 중에 두 사람이 예루살렘에서 약 11킬로미터 정도 떨어진 엠마오라고 하는 마을로 내려가고 있었습니다.
14 이들은 일어났던 모든 일에 대해 이야기를 나누고 있었습니다.
15 이들이 이야기를 나누며 토론하고 있을 때, 예수님께서 그들에게 다가오셔서 함께 걸으셨습니다.
16 그러나 그들은 눈이 가리워져서 예수님인지 알지 못했습니다.
17 예수님께서 그들에게 물으셨습니다. “당신들이 걸어가면서 서로 주고받는 이야기가 무엇입니까?” 두 사람은 슬픈 기색을 하고 멈춰 섰습니다.
18 그 가운데 글로바라는 사람이 예수님께 대답했습니다. “당신은 예루살렘에 다녀오면서 최근에 무슨 일이 일어났는지 모른단 말이오?”
19 예수님께서 그들에게 물으셨습니다. “무슨 일입니까?” 제자들이 말했습니다. “나사렛 예수님에 관한 일인데, 그분은 하나님과 백성 앞에서 행동과 말씀에 능력이 있는 예언자이셨습니다.
20 그런데 대제사장들과 우리 지도자들이 그분을 죽게 넘겨 주어 십자가에 못박았습니다.
21 우리는 이스라엘을 구원할 분이 바로 그분이라고 기대했습니다. 뿐만 아니라 이 일이 일어난 지가 삼 일째입니다.
22 우리 중에 어떤 여자들이 우리를 놀라게 했습니다. 그들이 아침 일찍 무덤으로 갔지만
23 예수님의 시신을 보지 못하고 돌아와, 예수님께서 살아나셨다고 말하는 천사를 보았다고 했습니다.
24 우리와 함께 있던 사람들 중에 어떤 사람들이 무덤으로 달려갔는데, 그 여자들이 말한 대로였고, 예수님을 볼 수 없었다는 것입니다.”
25 그러자 예수님은 그들에게 말씀하셨습니다. “너희는 어리석고, 예언자들이 말한 것을 더디 믿는구나.
26 그리스도가 이 모든 고난을 받고 그의 영광에 들어가야 할 것이 아니겠느냐?”
27 예수님께서 모세로부터 시작하여 모든 예언자를 들어 예수님에 관한 성경 말씀을 제자들에게 설명해 주셨습니다.

13 That same day two of Jesus’ followers were walking to the village of Emmaus, seven miles① from Jerusalem. / ①Greek 60 stadia [11.1 kilometers]
14 As they walked along they were talking about everything that had happened.
15 As they talked and discussed these things, Jesus himself suddenly came and began walking with them.
16 But God kept them from recognizing him.
17 He asked them, “What are you discussing so intently as you walk along?” They stopped short, sadness written across their faces.
18 Then one of them, Cleopas, replied, “You must be the only person in Jerusalem who hasn’t heard about all the things that have happened there the last few days.”
19 “What things?” Jesus asked. “The things that happened to Jesus, the man from Nazareth,” they said. “He was a prophet who did powerful miracles, and he was a mighty teacher in the eyes of God and all the people.
20 But our leading priests and other religious leaders handed him over to be condemned to death, and they crucified him.
21 We had hoped he was the Messiah who had come to rescue Israel. This all happened three days ago.
22 “Then some women from our group of his followers were at his tomb early this morning, and they came back with an amazing report.
23 They said his body was missing, and they had seen angels who told them Jesus is alive!
24 Some of our men ran out to see, and sure enough, his body was gone, just as the women had said.”
25 Then Jesus said to them, “You foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures.
26 Wasn’t it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?”
27 Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. Continue reading →

요한복음 17:9, 14-19

9 “나는 이 사람들을 위하여 간구합니다. 세상을 위하여 간구하는 것이 아니라 아버지께서 내게 맡기신 이 사람들을 위하여 간구합니다. 이 사람들은 아버지의 사람들입니다……
14 나는 이 사람들에게 아버지의 말씀을 전해 주었는데 세상은 이 사람들을 미워했습니다. 그것은 내가 이 세상에 속해 있지 않은 것처럼 이 사람들도 이 세상에 속해 있지 않기 때문입니다.
15 내가 아버지께 원하는 것은 그들을 이 세상에서 데려가시는 것이 아니라 악마에게서 지켜 주시는 일입니다.
16 내가 이 세상에 속하지 않은 것처럼 이 사람들도 이 세상에 속한 사람들이 아닙니다.
17 이 사람들이 진리를 위하여 몸을 바치는 사람들이 되게 하여 주십시오. 아버지의 말씀이 곧 진리입니다.
18 아버지께서 나를 세상에 보내신 것같이 나도 이 사람들을 세상에 보냈습니다.
19 내가 이 사람들을 위하여 이 몸을 아버지께 바치는 것은 이 사람들도 참으로 아버지께 자기 몸을 바치게 하려는 것입니다.”

9 “My prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given me, because they belong to you.
14 I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.
15 I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.
16 They do not belong to this world any more than I do.
17 Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.
18 Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world.
19 And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your truth. Continue reading →

I Have Seen The Lord

요한복음 20:11-18

11 그러나 마리아는 무덤 밖에 서서 울고 있었습니다. 마리아는 울면서 몸을 굽혀 무덤 안을 들여다보았습니다.
12 마리아는 흰옷 입은 두 천사를 보았습니다. 두 천사는 예수님의 시신이 있던 곳에 앉아 있었습니다. 한 천사는 머리 쪽에, 다른 천사는 발 쪽에 있었습니다.
13 천사가 마리아에게 물었습니다. “여자여, 왜 울고 있소?” 마리아가 대답했습니다. “사람들이 우리 주님을 어디론가 가져갔는데, 주님을 어디에 두었는지를 알지 못하겠습니다.”
14 마리아가 이 말을 하고 뒤를 돌아보자, 거기 예수님께서 서 계셨습니다. 그러나 마리아는 그분이 예수님이신 줄 알지 못했습니다.
15 예수님께서 마리아에게 물으셨습니다. “여자여, 왜 울고 있느냐? 누구를 찾고 있느냐?” 마리아는 그분이 동산 관리인인 줄로 생각하고 “저, 당신이 그분을 다른 곳으로 옮겨 놓았다면, 어디로 옮겨 놓았는지 말씀해 주세요. 그러면 제가 모셔 갈게요”라고 말했습니다.
16 예수님께서 마리아에게 “마리아야!”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 마리아는 예수님께 몸을 돌려 아람어로 “랍오니”라고 외쳤습니다(이 말은 ‘선생님’이란 뜻입니다).
17 예수님께서 마리아에게 말씀하셨습니다. “나를 계속 붙잡고 있지 마라. 내가 아직 아버지께로 올라가지 않았다. 다만 너는 나의 형제들에게 가서 이렇게 말하여라. ‘나는 내 아버지 곧 너희 아버지, 내 하나님 곧 너희 하나님께로 돌아갈 것이다.’”
18 막달라 마리아가 제자들에게 가서 “내가 주님을 보았어요!”라고 말했습니다. 그리고 예수님께서 자기에게 하신 말씀을 전하였습니다.

11 Mary was standing outside the tomb crying, and as she wept, she stooped and looked in.
12 She saw two white-robed angels, one sitting at the head and the other at the foot of the place where the body of Jesus had been lying.
13 “Dear woman, why are you crying?” the angels asked her. “Because they have taken away my Lord,” she replied, “and I don’t know where they have put him.”
14 She turned to leave and saw someone standing there. It was Jesus, but she didn’t recognize him.
15 “Dear woman, why are you crying?” Jesus asked her. “Who are you looking for?” She thought he was the gardener. “Sir,” she said, “if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and get him.”
16 “Mary!” Jesus said. She turned to him and cried out, “Rabboni!” (which is Hebrew for “Teacher”).
17 “Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, `I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'”
18 Mary Magdalene found the disciples and told them, “I have seen the Lord!” Then she gave them his message. Continue reading →

You would see God’s glory if you believe

요한복음 11:25-27, 40-44

25 예수께서 이르시되 “나는 부활이요 생명이니 나를 믿는 자는 죽어도 살겠고, 26 무릇 살아서 나를 믿는 자는 영원히 죽지 아니하리니, 이것을 네가 믿느냐?” 27 이르되 “주여, 그러하외다. 주는 그리스도시요, 세상에 오시는 하나님의 아들이신 줄 내가 믿나이다.” 40 예수께서 이르시되 “네가 믿으면 하나님의 영광을 보리라 하지 아니하였느냐?” 하시니 41 돌을 옮겨 놓으니 예수께서 눈을 들어 우러러 보시고 이르시되 “아버지여, 내 말을 들으신 것을 감사하나이다. 42 항상 내 말을 들으시는 줄을 내가 알았나이다. 그러나 이 말씀 하옵는 것은 둘러선 무리를 위함이니, 곧 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 그들로 믿게 하려 함이니이다.” 43 이 말씀을 하시고 큰 소리로 “나사로야 나오라” 부르시니, 44 죽은 자가 수족을 베로 동인 채로 나오는데 그 얼굴은 수건에 싸였더라. 예수께서 이르시되 “풀어 놓아 다니게 하라” 하시니라. 25 Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life①. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. / ①Some manuscripts do not include and the life 26 Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?” 27 “Yes, Lord,” she told him. “I have always believed you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who has come into the world from God.” 40 Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” 41 So they rolled the stone aside. Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, thank you for hearing me. 42 You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.” 43 Then Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound in graveclothes, his face wrapped in a headcloth. Jesus told them, “Unwrap him and let him go!”

우리 때문에

We Are The Reason

이사야 53:1-6

1 우리가 들은 것을 누가 믿었느냐? 여호와의 팔이 누구에게 나타났느냐?
2 그는 여호와 앞에서 부드러운 새싹처럼, 메마른 땅에서 자라는 나무 줄기처럼 자라났다. 그에게는 아름다움도 없었고, 우리의 눈길을 끌 만한 위엄도 없었다.
3 그는 사람들에게 미움과 멸시를 받았으며, 아픔과 고통을 많이 겪었다. 사람들은 그를 바라보려 하지도 않았다. 그는 미움을 받았고, 우리 가운데 아무도 그를 귀하게 여기지 않았다.
4 정말로 그는 우리의 질병을 짊어지고, 우리의 아픔을 대신 겪었다. 그러나 우리는 그가 하나님께 벌을 받아서 고통을 당한다고 생각했다.
5 그러나 그가 상처 입은 것은 우리의 허물 때문이고, 그가 짓밟힌 것은 우리의 죄 때문이다. 그가 맞음으로 우리가 평화를 얻었고, 그가 상처를 입음으로 우리가 고침을 받았다.
6 우리는 모두 양처럼 흩어져 제 갈 길로 갔으나, 여호와께서 우리의 모든 죄짐을 그에게 지게 하셨다.

1 Who has believed our message? To whom has the Lord revealed his powerful arm?
2 My servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him.
3 He was despised and rejected – a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.
4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows① that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! / ①Or Yet it was our sicknesses he carried; / it was our diseases
5 But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.
