What Was The First Church?

사도행전 2:42-47

42 사람들은 사도들의 가르침을 받으며 서로 교제하고, 빵을 나누어 먹고 기도하는 일에 힘썼습니다.
43 사도들을 통해 많은 기적과 표적이 나타났습니다. 그러자 모든 사람들에게 두려운 마음이 생겼습니다.
44 믿는 사람들은 다 함께 모여 모든 물건을 공동으로 사용하며 살아갔습니다.
45 그들은 재산과 모든 소유를 팔아서 필요한 사람들에게 나누어 주었습니다.
46 그들은 날마다 한마음으로 성전 뜰에 모였습니다. 그리고 집집마다 돌아가며 함께 모여 기쁘고 순수한 마음으로 식사를 같이 하였습니다.
47 그들은 하나님을 찬양하였으며, 모든 사람에게서 칭찬을 받았습니다. 주님께서는 구원 받는 사람을 날마다 늘어나게 하셨습니다.

42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper①), and to prayer. / ①Greek the breaking of bread; also in 2.46
43 A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders.
44 And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.
45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need.
46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity①－ / ①Or and sincere hearts
47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.

사도행전 3:1-10

1 어느 날 오후 3시, 기도하는 시간이 되어 베드로와 요한이 성전으로 올라가고 있었습니다.
2 성전 문에는 태어날 때부터 걷지 못하는 사람이 앉아 있었습니다. 사람들이 그 사람을 날마다 메고 와서 ‘아름다운 문’이라 부르는 성전 문에 앉혀 놓고, 성전에 들어가는 사람들에게 구걸을 하게 하였습니다.
3 베드로와 요한이 막 성전으로 들어가려는 것을 보고, 걷지 못하는 사람은 그들에게 구걸을 하였습니다.
4 베드로는 요한과 함께 그 사람을 눈 여겨 본 후에, “우리를 보시오”라고 말했습니다.
5 그 걷지 못하는 사람은 무언가 얻을 것을 기대하면서 두 사람을 쳐다보았습니다.
6 그러나 베드로는 이런 말을 하였습니다. “은과 금은 내게 없으나, 내게 있는 것을 당신에게 주겠소. 나사렛 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 일어나 걸으시오.”
7 이 말을 하면서 베드로는 그 사람의 오른손을 잡아 일으켜 세웠습니다. 그러자 그 사람의 다리와 발목에 힘이 생겼습니다.
8 그 걷지 못하던 사람이 벌떡 일어나 걷기 시작하였습니다. 그는 두 사람과 함께 성전으로 들어가 걷기도 하고, 껑충껑충 뛰기도 하면서, 하나님을 찬양하였습니다.
9 모든 사람이 걷지 못하던 사람이 걸어 다니는 것과 하나님을 찬양하는 것을 보았습니다.
10 사람들은 그가 전부터 성전의 ‘아름다운 문’에 앉아 구걸하던 바로 그 사람이라는 것을 알고서, 눈앞에서 벌어진 이 일로 인해 크게 놀라며 이상하게 생각했습니다.

1 Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o’clock prayer service.
2 As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple.
3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money.
4 Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!”
5 The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money.
6 But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene①, get up and② walk!” / ①Or Jesus Christ of Nazareth ②Some manuscripts omit get up and
7 Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened.
8 He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them.
9 All the people saw him walking and heard him praising God.
10 When they realized he was the lame beggar they had seen so often at the Beautiful Gate, they were absolutely astounded!

사도행전 2:14-21

14 베드로가 열한 명의 사도와 함께 일어서서, 군중을 향해 큰소리로 말했습니다. “유대 사람들, 그리고 예루살렘에 사는 모든 주민 여러분, 이 일을 여러분께 설명해 드리겠습니다. 내가 하는 말에 귀를 기울여 주십시오.
15 지금은 아침 9시밖에 되지 않았으니, 이 사람들은 여러분이 생각하는 것처럼 술에 취한 것이 아닙니다.
16 오늘 일어난 일은 바로 요엘 예언자가 예언했던 대로 이루어진 것입니다.
17 하나님께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. ‘마지막 날에, 내가 내 영을 모든 사람에게 부어 주겠다. 너희의 아들과 딸들은 예언할 것이요, 너희의 젊은이들은 환상을 볼 것이요, 너희의 늙은이들은 꿈을 꿀 것이다.
18 그 날에 내 남자 종들과 여자 종들에게까지 내 영을 부어 주겠다. 그러면 그들은 예언할 것이다.
19 내가 위로 하늘에서는 기이한 일을, 아래로 땅 위에서는 표적을 보여 줄 것이다. 피와 불과 짙은 연기가 일 것이다.
20 해가 어두워지고, 달이 핏빛으로 변할 것이다. 이 일이 일어난 후에 크고 영광스런 주님의 날이 올 것이다.
21 그러나 누구든지 주님의 이름을 부르는 사람은 구원을 얻을 것이다.’

14 Then Peter stepped forward with the eleven other apostles and shouted to the crowd, “Listen carefully, all of you, fellow Jews and residents of Jerusalem! Make no mistake about this.
15 These people are not drunk, as some of you are assuming. Nine o’clock in the morning is much too early for that.
16 No, what you see was predicted long ago by the prophet Joel.
17 `In the last days,’ God says, `I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.
18 In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants- men and women alike-  and they will prophesy.
19 And I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below? blood and fire and clouds of smoke.
20 The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and glorious day of the LORD arrives.
21 But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.’① / ①Joel 2.28-32
