본문말씀: 사무엘상 1 Samuel 4:9-11

Fight as never before, Philistines! If you don’t, we will become the Hebrews’ slaves just as they have been ours! 이번주일 아이들 설교말씀은 빼앗긴 언약궤 이야기입니다. 이스라엘은 블레셋과 여러번의 전쟁을 하였고 번번히 패배하였습니다. 그리하여 그들은 하나님의 언약궤와 함께 한다면 전쟁에서 승리 할 것이라고 믿고 언약궤를 전장에 선봉에 앞세웠습니다. 하지만 이스라엘은 전쟁에서 패배하였고 언약궤를 빼앗기게 되었습니다. 하나님의 언약궤가 가는 곳마다 블레셋 사람들에게는 종양이 생겼고 그들은 결국 손건제물과 함께 하나님의 언약궤를 다시 이스라엘에게 돌려보냈습니다. 우리 아이들이 늘 하나님의 말씀은 마음안에 간직하는 믿음의 자녀들 되기를 기도합니다.

They thought if they bring the ark of God, they would win the battle against the Philistines. So, they placed the ark of God at the forefront of the march. However, Israel lost the war again, and the ark of God was captured by the Philistines. Wherever the ark of God went, tumor spread at the place, and the Philistines who were afraid eventually sent back the ark of God with gold as the guilty offering to the Israelites. We pray that our children become the children of faith who always keep the words of God in their hearts.

이번 주일 아이들 설교말씀은 한나와 사무엘의 이야기입니다. 엘가나의 아내 한나는 자녀가 없었습니다. 그녀는 매년 하나님께 제사를 드릴 때에 아들을 주신다면 그 아들을 하나님께 바치겠다고 기도하였습니다. 소리도 내지 못하고 입으로만 하는 그 간절한 기도를 본 엘리 제사장은 그녀가 술에 취한줄 알고 꾸짖었습니다. 하지만 한나는 취한것이 아니라고 하며 엘리 제사장에게 자신의 괴로운 상황을 말했습니다. 엘리 제사장은 한나에게 하나님께서 기도를 들으셨으니 평안한 마음을 가지고 돌아가라고 하였습니다. 하나님께서는 한나의 기도를 들으시고 그에게 아들을 주셨습니다. 한나는 본인의 약속대로 하나님의 일을 위해 사무엘을 바쳤습니다. 사무엘은 하나님 앞에 정직한 자였기에 엘리 제사장의 아들들 대신 하나님께서는 사무엘을 하나님의 메신저로 삼으셨습니다. 우리 아이들도 날마다 하나님께 순종하는 믿음의 자녀들 되기를 소망합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday worship is about the story of Hannah and Samuel. Hannah, the wife of Elkanah, did not have children. Every year, when she went to the tabernacle to make sacrifices to God, she prayed to God that if God gave her a son, she would dedicate him to God. As Hannah was praying silently, only moving her lips, Eli the priest thought she was drunk and rebuked her. She told him that she was not drunk and shared her struggle. Eli told her to go back in peace because God had heard her prayers and gave Hannah a son, Samuel. Hannah dedicated Samuel for God’s work as she promised. Samuel was an honest man before God, and God used him as a messenger of the Lord instead of Eli’s sons. We hope our children become children of faith who always obey God.

이번주일 아이들 설교말씀은 룻과 보아스 이야기입니다. 나오미와 그의 남편 그리고 두 아들은 유다 지역에 살고있었습니다. 하지만 그 땅에 기근이 들어 그들은 모압땅으로 갔습니다. 나오미의 두 아들들은 모압 여성들과 결혼을 하였지만, 안타깝게도 그의 남편과 두 아들들은 모압 땅에서 죽었습니다. 며느리중 한명인 오르바는 그녀의 고향으로 떠났지만 룻은 나오미에게 남아 유다 지방으로 돌아갔습니다. 그녀들은 먹을 것이 없어 타작을 하고 남은 곡식을 주워 생계를 이어갔습니다. 그 때 밭의 주인인 보아스가 룻의 사정을 알고 그녀에게 친절을 베풀었습니다. 보아스는 나오미 남편의 친족이었고, 룻은 보아스의 친절에 감동하여 그와 결혼을 하게 되었습니다. 룻은 아들 이세를 낳았고 이세의 아들은 다윗은 이스라엘의 왕이 되었습니다. 하나님께서는 이방 여인 룻을 사용하여 하나님의 일을 행하셨습니다. 우리 아이들도 날마다 하나님의 뜻을 따르는 믿음의 자녀들 되기를 기도합니다.

There was a famine in the land, and they moved to the land of Moab. Her two sons married Moabite women, but her husband and two sons unfortunately passed away in Moab. Orpah, one of her daughter-in-law, went back to her hometown, but Ruth followed Naomi and went to Bethlehem. Since they had nothing to eat, they picked up the remaining grains in the fields. Boaz heard about the situation and was kind to her. Boaz was a relative of Naomi’s husband, and Ruth, who was moved by his kindness, married him. Ruth gave birth to Jesse, and David, the son of Jesse, became the king of Israel. God used the gentile woman Ruth for God’s work. We pray that our children become children of faith who always obey God.

God handed them over to their enemy, and they cried out to God again. God sent an angel of the Lord to Gideon and told him that He will save the Israelite through Gideon. God showed the fleece miracle two times, and Gideon was finally ready to fight against the enemy. There were thirty-two thousand men behind Gideon, but God only allowed three hundred men who passed His test to fight. They won the battle by carrying torches, blowing their trumpets, and breaking the jars, instead of fighting against their enemy. God used Gideon to save the Israelites in His way. We pray that our children become the children of faith who always trust and obey God.

이번주일 아이들 설교말씀은 드보라와 바락 이야기 입니다. 에훗이 죽고난 후 이스라엘은 다시금 하나님을 잊고 죄에 빠지게 됐습니다. 하나님께서는 이스라엘을 가나안의 왕의 손에 넘기셨습니다. 이스라엘은 다시금 슬피 울며 하나님의 도움을 구했습니다. 그때의 이스라엘의 사사는 드보라였습니다. 드보라 바락을 불러 하나님의 메시지를 전하였습니다. 하나님께서는 드보라 바락 그리고 군대를 다볼 산으로 보내셨고 이스라엘은 이방 장수 시스라의 모든 군대를 물리쳤습니다. 시스라는 홀로 친구의 아내인 야엘의 장막으로 도망쳤습니다. 야엘은 시스라가 이스라엘의 적임을 알았고 그가 잠든 사이 그를 죽였습니다. 바락이 그녀의 집에 찾아왔을 때에 그녀는 바락에게 죽은 시스라를 보여줬습니다. 이로 인해서 이스라엘은 가나안에게 승리를 얻었고 다시금 자유의 몸이 되었습니다.

The sermon for this Sunday worship is about the story of Deborah and Barak. After Ehud passed away, the Israelites forgot God and fell into sin again. God handed them over to the king of Canaan. They cried out to God and asked for God’s help. During the time, Deborah was the judge in Israel. She called Barak to deliver the message from God. God sent Deborah, Barak and army to Mount Tabor, and they defeated all the armies of Canaan except Sisera, the commander of the king’s army. Sisera escaped to the house of Jael, who was the wife of his friend. Jael knew that Sisera was the enemy of God’s people and killed him with a tent peg and a hammer while he was sleeping. When Barak came to Jael’s house, she showed him the dead Sisera. Finally, Israel won the war against Canaan and got freedom from their enemy.
