본문말씀: 사무엘하 2 Samuel 9:7

다윗이 므비보셋에게 말했습니다. “두려워하지 마라. 너의 아버지 요나단을 생각해서 너에게 은혜를 베풀고자 한다. 너의 할아버지 사울의 땅을 모두 너에게 돌려 주겠다. 그리고 너는 언제나 내 식탁에서 식사를 해도 좋다.” (쉬운성경)

David said to him, “Do not be afraid, for I will show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan; I will restore to you all the land of your grandfather Saul, and you yourself shall eat at my table always.” (New Living Translation)

이번주일 아이들 설교말씀은 다윗의 선함 입니다. 다윗은 이스라엘의 좋은 왕이었고, 하나님 말씀에 순종하였습니다. 어느날 다윗은 사울왕과 요나단을 생각하였고, 요나단에게 한 약속을 기억했습니다. 다위은 요나단의 아들 므비보셋을 찾았고 그에게 사울이 가지고 있던 모든 땅과 밭을 돌려주었습니다. 다윗은 또한 그를 자신의 집에 머물게 하며 늘 왕의 식탁에서 식사하도록 하였습니다. 하나님께서도 우리에게 하나님의 선하심을 베푸셨습니다. 예수 그리스도를 통하여 우리를 그의 자녀로 삼아주셨고 영원한 삶을 허락하셨습니다. 우리 아이들이 날마다 다윗과 같은 선함을 베푸는 믿음의 자녀들 되기를 기도합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday worship is about David’s kindness. David was a good king of Israel and always obeyed God’s words. One day, he thought of King Saul and Jonathan. David found and called Jonathan’s son Mephibosheth, and gave him all the lands and farms that belonged to King Saul. David also called Mephibosheth to his place and allowed Mephibosheth to always have meals at the King’s table. God showed his kindness to us as well through Jesus and invited us as the children of God, giving us eternal life with Him. We pray that our children become the children of faith who show kindness to others like David.

“네가 나이 많아 죽을 때에 나는 너의 몸에서 태어날 아들들 중 하나를 다음 왕으로 삼을 것이다. 그리고 바로 그가 나를 위해 성전을 지을 것이다. 나는 그의 나라를 영원히 강하게 만들 것이다. 나는 그의 아버지가 되고, 그는 나의 아들이 될 것이다. 만일 그가 죄를 지으면 다른 사람을 채찍과 막대기로 삼아 그에게 벌을 줄 것이다. 그러나 나의 사랑과 자비를 거둬들여 사울에게서 마음을 돌렸던 것처럼, 너의 아들에게서는 나의 사랑을 거둬들이지 않을 것이다. 너의 집안과 너의 나라는 내 앞에서 영원히 이어질 것이다.” (쉬운성경)

“For when you die and are buried with your ancestors, I will raise up one of your descendants, your own offspring, and I will make his kingdom strong. He is the one who will build a house—a temple—for my name. And I will secure his royal throne forever. I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will correct and discipline him with the rod, like any father would do. But my favor will not be taken from him as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from your sight. 이번주일 아이들 설교말씀은 다윗을 향한 하나님의 언약입니다. 하나님은 다윗을 이스라엘의 두번째 왕으로 세우셨고, 다윗은 하나님을 사랑하고 하나님께 늘 기도를 드렸습니다. 다윗은 그의 궁전에 살았지만 하나님의 언약궤는 장막 안에 있었습니다. 다윗은 언약궤를 위한 성전을 짓고자 하였지만 하나님께서는 다윗에게 허락하지 않으셨습니다. 대신 하나님께서는 언약을 통해 다윗의 아들을 통해 성전을 지을 것을 말씀하셨고, 다윗의 아들이 영원히 그의 왕국을 이어갈 것이라고 약속하셨습니다. 하나님은 예수님을 통하여 그 언약을 이루셨고, 지금도 우리와 함께 하고 계십니다. 우리 아이들이 늘 하나님의 말씀을 신뢰하고, 순종하는 믿음의 자녀들 되기를 기도합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday worship is about God’s covenant with David. God chose David to be the second king of Israel, and David loved and always prayed to God. David lived in his beautiful place, but the ark of God was in the tent. David wanted to build a temple for the ark of God, but God did not allow him to do it himself. Instead, God promised to build a temple through David’s son and let his son continue David’s kingdom forever. God fulfilled His covenant through Jesus and is still with us. We pray that our children become children of faith who always trust and obey the words of God.

This very day you can see with your own eyes it isn’t true. For the LORD placed you at my mercy back there in the cave. Some of my men told me to kill you, but I spared you. For I said, ‘I will never harm the king—he is the LORD ’s anointed one.’ Look, my father, at what I have in my hand. It is a piece of the hem of your robe! I cut it off, but I didn’t kill you. This proves that I am not trying to harm you and that I have not sinned against you, even though you have been hunting for me to kill me. (New Living Translation)

The sermon for this Sunday worship is about the Story of David’s mercy. David served King Saul and won many battles. People liked David much more than King Saul. Saul was jealous of David and planned to kill him. David ran away into the wilderness and Saul chased him. In the wilderness, Saul went into a cave to use the bathroom, where David and his men were hiding in the back. David could have killed Saul, but he only cut off the edge of Saul’s robe because he knew that God chose Saul as king. When Saul left the cave, David followed. He called Saul and said that even though King Saul tried to kill him, he showed mercy. King Saul cried and repented his wrongdoings. We pray that our children become children of God who show mercy to their friends and others.

The sermon for this Sunday worship is about the story of King David. Saul disobeyed God, and God wanted to find a new king. God sent Samuel to Bethlehem to find the next king among Jesse’s sons. Samuel liked the oldest son, but God chose the youngest son David as the next king. One day, David went to the battlefield to see his brothers and saw the Philistines’, great warrior Goliath. David turned to King Saul and told him that he wanted to fight against Goliath. Saul gave David his armor, but it was heavy and too big for him. David trusted God so that he took five smooth stones, slung a stone to Goliath, and killed him. We pray that our children become the children of faith like David who always trusted God.

Today’s story is about Saul, Israel’s first king. When Samuel ruled over Israel as a judge, the Israelites constantly wanted a king. So, Samuel prayed to God, and God answered their request. Samuel called Saul, who came from the tribe of Benjamin, and anointed him as the first king of Israel. The Israelites loved Saul, who was tall and handsome. After he became a king, Saul first obeyed but soon forgot and disobeyed God. Saul himself gave an offering to God, which was only allowed to the priests, and took treasures in a battle that God ordered him to destroy everything. God regretted that He made Saul as king, and took away his kingship. We pray that our children become the children of faith who obey and keep the words of God.
