여호와께서는 솔로몬에게 다른 신을 따르지 말라고 명령하셨지만, 솔로몬은 여호와의 명령에 복종하지 않았습니다. 그래서 여호와께서는 솔로몬에게 “너는 나와 맺은 언약을 어기고 내 명령을 따르지 않았다. 그러므로 나는 네 나라를 너에게서 빼앗아 네 신하에게 줄 것이다. 그러나 네가 살아 있는 동안에는 그렇게 하지 않겠다. 왜냐하면 내가 네 아버지 다윗을 사랑하기 때문이다. 네 아들이 왕이 될 때에 이 나라를 갈라 놓겠다. (쉬운성경)

He had warned Solomon specifically about worshiping other gods, but Solomon did not listen to the LORD ’s command. So now the LORD said to him, “Since you have not kept my covenant and have disobeyed my decrees, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to one of your servants. But for the sake of your father, David, I will not do this while you are still alive. I will take the kingdom away from your son. (New Living Translation)

이번주일 아이들 말씀은 다윗의 시편 이야기 입니다. 다윗은 언제나 하나님을 믿고 신뢰하던 믿음의 사람이었습니다. 그는 어린 시절 목자였으며 그의 양을 지키기 위해 사자, 곰들과 맞서 싸웠습니다. 그는 하나님께서 그를 지키실 것을 믿었습니다. 다윗은 그의 평생에 하나님을 찬송하는 시편의 시와 노래를 썼습니다. 오늘 말씀 시편 23편은 다윗의 삶의 고백입니다. 여호와께서 그의 목자가 되시고 그를 돌보시고 그를 지키셨습니다. 또한 그를 바른 길로 인도하시고 그의 필요를 채워 주셨습니다. 우리 아이들도 날마다 하나님을 의지하며 하나님의 말씀에 순종하는 믿음의 자녀들 되기를 기도합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday is about David’s Psalm. David was the man of faith who always trusted and believed in God. When he was young, he was a shepherd and had to fight against lions and bears to protect his sheep. He believed that God would keep him in every situation. David wrote many poems and songs that praised God throughout his life. Today’s Scripture, Psalm 23, is a confession of David’s life. The Lord was his shepherd, cared for him, and guarded him. God led him in the right paths and filled his needs. We pray that our children will be the children of faith, like David, who always trust and obey God’s word.
