So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate. (The New Revised Standard Version)

이번 주일 아이들 설교말씀은 세상에 들어온 죄의 이야기 입니다. 하나님께서 아담과 하와를 만드셨고, 아담과 하와는 에덴동산에서 하나님께서 만드신 이 세상을 기쁘게 누렸습니다. 하나님께서는 이들에게 오직 한 가지의 제약만 두셨는데 바로 동산 한 가운데 있는 선악과를 먹지 말라고 하셨습니다. 어느 날 하와에게 뱀이 찾아와 선악과를 먹도록 하와를 유혹하였습니다. 하와는 그 유혹에 넘어가 선악과를 먹었고 뿐만 아니라 아담 또한 선악과를 먹게 되었습니다. 그들은 오직 하나뿐이었던 하나님의 명령을 어긴 죄인이 되었습니다. 하지만 하나님께서는 그들을 떠나지 않으셨고 마침내 예수 그리스도를 우리에게 보내주셔 우리를 대신하여 십자가 지시고 우리의 죄를 사해주셨습니다. 날마다 우리 아이들이 그리스도의 십자가 구원을 마음에 새기며 작은 잘못이라도 하나님 앞에 고백하고 용서받는 신앙의 자녀들 되기를 기도합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday is about sin. God created Adam and Eve, and they enjoyed all that God created in the garden of Eden. God gave them only one restriction not to have the fruit from the tree of knowledge and evil. One day, a serpent came to Eve and tempted her that if she had the fruit on the tree, she would be like God. Unfortunately, Eve was tempted to have the fruit and also gave the fruit to Adam. They broke only one law of God and became sinners. God punished them but still did not leave them. Two thousand years ago, God sent Jesus Christ to solve the problem of sin through crucifixion, and our sins have been forgiven. We pray that our children experience the love of Jesus Christ everyday and be children of faith who confess their faults before God.

이번 주일 아이들 설교말씀은 창세기 1장 천지창조 내용 중의 하나님께서 사람을 만드신 이야기입니다. 창조 여섯째 날에 하나님께서는 흙으로 하나님의 형상을 따라 아담을 빚으시고 그에게 하나님의 생기를 불어넣으셨습니다. 그렇게 인간은 하나님의 형상을 따라 지음 받았습니다. 하나님의 형상을 따라 지음 받은 아담, 하와, 그리고 우리 모두는 하나님의 손과 발이 되어 하나님의 일을 하기 위해 부름 받은 사람들 입니다. 그러하기에 하나님의 형상으로 지음 받은 우리는 하나님의 일을 하는 것이 우리의 일 입니다. 첫째는 하나님이 창조 하신 이 세계를 아름답게 가꾸는 것입니다. 둘째는 하나님과 하나님 말씀 앞에 순종하는 것 입니다. 셋째는 세상 가운데 예수님의 복음을 전하는 것입니다. 마지막으로 하나님의 형상으로 지음 받은 우리 모두 서로가 서로를 존중하고 사랑으로 돌보는 것입니다. 서로가 서로를 하나님 대하듯 대할 때에 우리는 진정으로 하나님의 말씀과 형상을 따라 사는 주님의 자녀가 될 것입니다. 우리 아이들이 비록 사랑하기 어려운 때에도 존중과 사랑으로 다른 이들을 대하는 주님의 자녀 되기를 기도합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday is about the creation of humans in Genesis chapter 1 and 2. On the sixth day, God created humans, Adam and Eve. God made Adam out of soil on the ground and breathed into his nose the breath of life, turning Adam into a living creature. Like Adam and Eve who were created in the image of God, we are all called to be God’s hands and feet to do God’s work. The first is to take care of the world God beautifully created. The second is to obey God and the Word of God. The third is to be God’s representatives in the world, showing the discipleship and telling the Gospel to the world and people who do not know Jesus Christ. The last is to show respect and compassion to one another. When we treat each other like God, we will be the people of God who truly live according to God’s words and image. We pray that our children become the children of God who treat others with respect and love, even when it is difficult to love.

본문말씀: 마태복음 (Matthew 28:18-20)

예수께서 다가와서, 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “나는 하늘과 땅의 모든 권세를 받았다.  그러므로 너희는 가서, 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아서, 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 주고, 내가 너희에게 명령한 모든 것을 그들에게 가르쳐 지키게 하여라. 보아라, 내가 세상 끝 날까지 항상 너희와 함께 있을 것이다.”

And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’

이번 주일 아이들 설교는 부활하신 예수님의 이야기입니다. 십자가에 달리셨던 예수님께서는 삼일만에 부활을 하셨고 제자들에게 나타나셨습니다. 예수님께서는 부활 후 사십일동안 제자들과 함께 하셨고 사람들에게 이 땅 가운데 하나님의 나라를 널리 전하셨습니다. 예수님께서는 또한 본인이 하늘로 올라가신 후에 성령님께서 우리에게 오실 것이라는 것을 알려주셨습니다. 베다니에서 제자들을 모으시고 예수님께서는 세상 끝까지 복음을 전하라는 명령을 하신 후 언제나 너희와 함께 하겠다고 약속을 하시고는 하늘로 올라가셨습니다. 얼마 지나지 않아 성령이 제자들에게 임하였고, 제자들은 성령님과 함께 예수님께서 부탁하신 사역을 감당하였습니다. 성령님께서 늘 제자들과 함께 하셨듯 우리 아이들 또한 성령님과 함께 하는 믿음의 아이들이 되기를 기도합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday is about the story of resurrected Jesus. Jesus died on the cross, resurrected in three days, and appeared to His disciples. Jesus was with his disciples for forty days after his resurrection and preached about his resurrection to people. After he taught about the kingdom of God on earth, Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit will come to the disciples. When the disciples gathered at Bethany, Jesus commanded them to go out and tell the whole world about the good news. He promised that he will always be with the disciples and ascended to heaven. Not long after, the Holy Spirit came to the disciples, and they worked for the ministry with the Holy Spirit. As the Holy Spirit has always been with the disciples, we pray that our children will also be the children of faith like disciples who were with the Holy Spirit.

제목: 물 위를 걸은 베드로 Peter Who Walked on the Water
본문말씀: 마태복음 (Matthew) 14:28-30

베드로가 예수께 말하였다. “주님, 주님이시면, 나더러 물 위로 걸어서, 주님께로 오라고 명령하십시오.” 예수께서 “오너라!” 하고 말씀하셨다. 베드로는 배에서 내려, 물 위로 걸어서, 예수께로 갔다. 그러나 베드로는 [거센] 바람이 불어오는 것을 보고, 무서움에 사로잡혀서, 물에 빠져 들어가게 되었다. 그 때에 그는 “주님, 살려 주십시오” 하고 외쳤다.

Peter answered him, ‘Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.’  He said, ‘Come.’ So Peter got out of the boat, started walking on the water, and came towards Jesus. But when he noticed the strong wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’

이번 주일 아이들 설교말씀은 물 위를 걸은 베드로의 이야기 입니다. 예수님께서는 어부였던 베드로를 제자로 부르셨고, 베드로는 예수님이 가시는 모든 곳을 따라가며 예수님께서 행하신 많은 기적들을 보고 경험했습니다. 예수님께서 오병이어의 기적을 보이신 날 밤 제자들에게 강 건너편으로 가게 하시고는 무리를 집으로 돌려 보내시고는 홀로 기도를 하러 산에 올라가셨습니다. 그 밤 제자들이 타고 있던 배는 거친 파도를 만나 어려움을 겪고 있었습니다. 그 밤 새벽 예수님께서는 바다 위를 걸으셔 제자들에게 걸어갔습니다. 그 모습을 본 제자들은 유령이라 생각하여 놀라 소리쳤습니다. 예수님께서는 본인을 나타내시고 제자들을 안심 시키셨습니다. 이에 베드로는 자신 또한 물 위를 걷게 해달라고 예수님께 청하였고, 예수님은 베드로에게 물 위로 오라 하셨습니다. 한 발을 떼어 물 위를 걸어 예수님께로 가는 그 순간 불어오는 바람에 베드로는 곧 두려워 물에 빠지게 되었습니다. 예수님의 기적을 경험하는 중에도 베드로는 불어오는 바람에 마음이 두려워져 물에 빠지게 되었습니다. 그는 다시 예수님께 살려달라 소리쳤고 예수님께서는 베드로에게 손 내미셔 베드로를 구(원)해 주셨습니다. 물 위를 걷는 베드로의 이야기를 통해 아이들이 늘 주님을 신뢰하며, 날마다 주님의 인도하시는 나날을 주님의 기적으로 여기며 자라기를 소망합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday is about the story of Peter walking on the water. Jesus called Peter, a fisherman, his disciple, and Peter followed everywhere Jesus went, experiencing and seeing many miracles Jesus has done. The night Jesus showed the miracle of the five loaves and two fishes, he told his disciples to go to the other side of the river. He sent the crowd home and went up to the hill to pray alone. That night, the boat that the disciples were riding was having trouble with rough waves and wind. Early in the morning, Jesus walked on the water to his disciples. The disciples who saw him screamed because they thought it was a ghost walking towards them. Jesus revealed himself and relieved his disciples. Peter asked Jesus to let him walk on the water. When Jesus told him to come, he took one step and walked on the water towards Jesus, but soon felt afraid of the wind and waves and sank down into the water. Even while experiencing the miracles of Jesus, Peter was afraid. Peter cried out to Jesus, and Jesus gave him a hand and saved him. Through the story of Peter, we hope our children learn to always trust in the Lord and grow up every day in the miracles of the Lord.
