여호와께서 호세아를 통해서 말씀하시기 시작하셨습니다. “가서 부정한 여자와 결혼하여 부정한 자식을 낳아라! 그것은 이 나라가 여호와를 버리고 부정한 짓을 하였기 때문이다.” (쉬운성경)

When the LORD first began speaking to Israel through Hosea, he said to him, “Go and marry a prostitute, so that some of her children will be conceived in prostitution. This will illustrate how Israel has acted like a prostitute by turning against the LORD and worshiping other gods.” (New Living Translation)

이번주일 아이들 설교말씀은 호세아와 그의 아내 고멜의 이야기입니다. 호세아는 북왕국 이스라엘의 예언자였습니다. 어느날 하나님께서는 정숙하지 못한 여인 호세아를 그의 아내로 삼으라고 하셨습니다. 호세아는 하나님의 말씀에 순종하여 고멜과 결혼을 하였습니다. 고멜은 호세아를 두고 떠나기도 했지만 그럼에도 불구하고 호세아는 그의 아내 고멜을 사랑했습니다. 호세아와 고멜의 관계는 하나님과 이스라엘의 관계를 상징하기도 합니다. 이스라엘이 끊임없이 하나님을 버리고 우상 숭배를 하였지만 하나님께서는 이스라엘을 끝까지 사랑하셨습니다. 우리 아이들이 날마다 하나님 앞에 신실한 아이들로 자라나기를 기도합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday worship is about the story of Hosea and his wife Gomer. Hosea was a prophet of Northern Israel. One day, God told Hosea to marry who will not be unfaithful to him. Hosea obeyed God and married Gomer. Although Gomer often ran away from Hosea, Hosea loved his wife. This story symbolizes God’s relationship with Israel. Although Israel continually abandoned God and worshiped false gods, God loved Israel to the end. We pray that our children grow up to be faithful children before God every day.
