본문말씀: 요나 Jonah 1:1-3

여호와께서 아밋대의 아들 요나에게 말씀하셨습니다. “일어나 저 큰 성 니느웨로 가서 그 성을 향해 외쳐라. 그들의 죄가 내 앞에까지 이르렀다.” 그러나 요나는 여호와를 피해 다시스로 도망쳤습니다. 그는 욥바 성으로 내려가 마침 다시스로 떠나는 배를 발견하고, 뱃삯을 낸 뒤 다른 사람들과 함께 배에 올라탔습니다. (쉬운성경)

The LORD gave this message to Jonah son of Amittai: “Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh. Announce my judgment against it because I have seen how wicked its people are.” But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the LORD. He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship leaving for Tarshish. He bought a ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from the LORD by sailing to Tarshish. (New Living Translation)

이번주일 아이들 말씀은 요나 이야기입니다. 하나님께서는 요나에게 니느웨로 가서 그들에게 하나님의 말씀을 전하라고 하셨습니다. 하지만 요나는 하나님의 명령에 불순종하고 오히려 다시스로 도망쳤습니다. 다시스로 가던 도중 요나가 탄 배는 큰 폭풍을 만났습니다. 배에 있던 사람들은 제비를 뽑았고, 요나를 바다에 던졌습니다. 바다에 빠진 요나를 큰 물고기가 삼켰습니다. 요나는 물고기의 뱃속에서 하나님께 기도를 드렸고, 삼일 후 물고기는 요나를 바닷가에 뱉었습니다. 요나는 하나님이 명령하신 니느웨로 갔고, 하나님의 말씀을 전하였습니다. 그곳 사람들은 요나의 말을 듣고 하나님 앞에 울며 회개하였습니다. 우리 아이들도 날마다 하나님 말씀에 순종하는 믿음의 어린이들 되기를 기도합니다.

The sermon for this Sunday worship is about Jonah. God told Jonah to go to the Nineveh to tell God’s messages. However, Jonah disobeyed God and ran away to the Tarshish. On his way to Tarshish, the ship met a big storm. The people on the ship decided to cast lots and finally, they threw Jonah into the sea. A big fish swallowed Jonah in the sea. Jonah prayed to God in the belly of the fish, and three days later the fish spit Jonah on a beach. Jonah went to Nineveh where God commanded and preached the messages of God. The people of Nineveh listened to God’s messages and wept before God and repented. We pray that our children become children of faith who obey God’s words every day.
