본문말씀: 잠언 Proverbs 1:1-4

이스라엘의 왕, 다윗의 아들, 솔로몬의 잠언입니다. 이 글을 쓰는 것은 지혜와 교훈을 얻게 하고, 슬기로운 가르침을 깨닫게 하고, 훈련과 지혜로운 생활을 얻게 하고, 의롭고, 올바르고, 정직한 삶을 살며, 어리석은 자들에게는 사리 분별력을 주고, 젊은이에게는 체험적인 지식과 옳은 것을 깨닫는 능력을 주기 위함이다. (쉬운성경)

These are the proverbs of Solomon, David’s son, king of Israel. Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline, to help them understand the insights of the wise. Their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives, to help them do what is right, just, and fair. These proverbs will give insight to the simple, knowledge and discernment to the young. (New Living Translation)

솔로몬이 왕이 되었을 때, 그는 하나님께 이스라엘을 잘 이끌수 있도록 도움을 구했습니다. 하나님께서는 솔로몬에게 이스라엘을 잘 이끌 수 있도록 지혜를 주셨습니다. 사람들은 솔로몬의 현명한 판단을 구하기 위해 먼곳에서부터 찾아왔습니다. 솔로몬은 잠언에 수많은 지혜에 관한 말들을 썼으며, 하나님의 향한 찬양들을 썼습니다. 잠언에서 솔로몬은 참 지혜는 하나님으로부터 온다고 하였습니다. 그는 사람들이 어떻게 지혜로운 결정들을 하는지 알려주었습니다. 만약 사람들이 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 그대로 행하면, 하나님이 그들을 축복하시고 보호하신다고 하였습니다. 잠언의 말씀처럼 우리 아이들이 하나님의 말씀을 구하는 믿음의 자녀들 되기를 기도합니다.

When Solomon became king, he asked God for help to lead the Israelites. God gave King Solomon wisdom to lead God’s people. People came from far away to hear Solomon’s wise words. Solomon wrote thousands of wise sayings called proverbs. He also wrote more than a thousand songs. In the Book of Proverbs, Solomon said that true wisdom comes from God. He told people how to make wise decisions. If people listened to God’s words and did what God told them to do, God would bless them and protect them. We pray that our children became the children of faith who seek to God’s words.
